666 W-2: Walter Slonopas, Christian Employee, Quits Over Mark Of The Beast On Tax Form.

 

While he’s certainly entitled to his belief, what would he have done if the number 666 appeared in his social security number?

Do Americans have a god-given right to have guns?

Among the arguments given by the NRA and pro-gun lobby in their fight against gun control is the claim that the right to have guns is God-given. Now, I read through the Bible and found no mention of guns so I was wondering where this belief came from. Taking as few months to peruse the archival records in Europe and Asia, and consulting with experts at the Vatican and various Biblical scholars in Israel and elsewhere I was able to obtain access to the only copy of the Epistle of John to the NRA and found the reference, which I have been given permission to quote as below

The Vatican is worried that support for gay marriage will lead to support for polygamy. So what?

Vatican vows to fight gay marriage after gains in U.S., Europe | Reuters.

For the record, I really don’t have an issue with gay marriage, polygamy, polyandry, or whatever occurs between 2 or more consenting adults. I don’t think it’s my business, and, as a heterosexual male,  I don’t intend to practice of these.

BUT, I do have issue with anything that drives people apart, that would deny people love in a world where it it so hard to find and keep.

Why do good people suffer?

First, my apologies for the delay in new posts. Some personal matters needed to be taken care of that took up more time than I anticipated.

One of the hardest things for me to accept when we talk about a “loving God” is how it seems that so many good people suffer calamities through no obvious fault of their own. At the same time, people who are — for want of a better term — “evil” seem to succeed and have good things fall into their lap.

It’s a lack of justice in this world that sometimes I have trouble dealing with.
