Among the arguments given by the NRA and pro-gun lobby in their fight against gun control is the claim that the right to have guns is God-given. Now, I read through the Bible and found no mention of guns so I was wondering where this belief came from. Taking as few months to peruse the archival records in Europe and Asia, and consulting with experts at the Vatican and various Biblical scholars in Israel and elsewhere I was able to obtain access to the only copy of the Epistle of John to the NRA and found the reference, which I have been given permission to quote as below

The book uses satire and may use strong language at times.

I’ve just added two of my sermons to the site under the Sermons and Other Writings page. Both sermons were originally written for and presented in a local Episcopal church.
Depending on your belief system (and I would admit that science is a belief system, too), some few thousand or a few hundred thousand or perhaps even some millions of years ago a unique creature came forth upon this planet. It was called man and it had the ability to think for itself. It was self-aware, capable of contemplating its birth, its life, and its inevitable death. Continue reading “An Introduction”
